TBH (Time Before Hadley)

On freezing days like today I find myself wondering why I live in Minnesota so I try to reminisce about summer...Sunday night dinners outside, deck parties, running around the lake...those are the things that make it worth it. And if you know me, you know that I am always cold so when the average Joe feels cold, chances are I've been chattering in my chair for days.  So as I sifted through pictures to cope with the single-digit temperatures today, I came across a few events I hadn't shared. Our family changed in an amazing way this fall when Hadley entered our world so we like to call pre-Sept. 7th TBH (time before Hadley)! I have some great pictures of the beginning of Hadley's life...starting with the baby shower we threw for Ty and Jeff all the way through the birth and first few months of watching her grow like a weed! I will start with the baby shower because it was a perfect summer night on my parent's deck and it reminds me why I love this place. It also reminds me of home now that I am only a visitor...

The theme of the shower was Everything Green. Ty and Jeff decided to use reusable diapers so I thought it'd be fun to make it an entire theme...BPA free bottles, safe toys, re-usable diapers and bibs, etc. And since they decided to wait to find out if Hadley was going to be a boy or girl, we used green since it is gender neutral. Guests also had to wrap the gift in something reusable, which made for a good time as well!

We had a great time celebrating the first grand-baby on either side. It's hard to believe we had as much fun as we did in times before Haddie-bear considering what a joy she brings now. 

Hadley Luella was born on September 7, 2010. The Wobbys claimed the money in the Chorley family baby pool. No surprise we nailed the correct day and gender. :) Clearly Haddie knew we'd be the cool aunt and uncle!
